PROJECT: STRUCTURAL REFURBISHMENTS WORKS ON CC1A AND CC1C CONVEYOR GANTRIES
LOCATION: GLADSTONE QUEENSLAND
Complete structural refurbishments work on CC1A and CC1C conveyor gantries and transfer tower THCC1 during normal operating conditions to allow for the installation of new trippers and increased productivity.
The scope includes:
Scaffold access, hoarding protection and encapsulation of work area
Blasting to establish extent of corrosion for repairs
Welding of stiffener plates
Surface protection
Project management, planning and scheduling of all works
Undertake emergency 24/7 structural stiffening works indentified after blasting. Labour and equipment ramped up to accommodate request at short notice
Undertake jacking of CC1A conveyor gantry at client request. Plan, design, execute and manage works during a shutdown
Complete structural refurbishments works on transfer tower THCC18D during normal operating conditions
Complete other work as requested:
- Conveyor CC29 / CC30 / CC31 Skirting Arrangement Upgrade – fabrication and site installation
- Fines System Tank, Cyclone, Tundish and Pipework Removal
All work was required to be undertaken during normal operating conditions.
This project was completed with short notice and in agreed timeframe and most importantly with zero incidents.
